Hee

Mostly just linking that so I can email everyone at work (and delight the geeky, but annoy everyone else).

The schedule hags at work wouldn't let me take boxing day off (it was dead the last few days at work, btw, we watched Bad Boys 2, that movie with the guy in the future, and Mystery Men today and played email trivia inbetween) so I missed out on pay for Thursday (my normal day off, and overtime) AND Boxing Day (also overtime) AND I get a late point because I called in sick. Net gain: - 4 hours of pay(I worked four extra hours on Tues and Mon to make up as much as I could). Oh, and just so we all know, they sent people HOME on Boxing Dead and yet maintain that I was forcing my team to work harder because I didn't show up.

Of course, today when I go and ask if I can work on Newyears day, they say I can't because it would be OVERTIME.

I can't help but feel like I had to pay the company I supposedly work for 240$ so that I could force my sister to drive 4 extra hours so that I could madly try and balance two days of visiting my long-distance girlfriend+cat, her parents, my two sets of parents, my MILLIONS of extended family (I'm not kidding). I think if maybe I shelled out an extra 120$ I might have been able to actually SEE some of my friends I've known for 10+ years.

So that's why y'all didn't see me this year.

Best wallpaper ever.

Okay, now I remember: If you have any interest in the storyline/background of World of Warcraft, I'd suggest playing through Warcraft 3, the Frozen Throne Expansion (which is much like Broodwar in that it is AWESOME) and then play the Founding of Durotar orc campaign. It is also very good (maybe a little easy) and there's no base building if that kind of thing scares you.

All three stories lead right up to the state of the world when WoW starts, and it's very interesting to see NPCs and locations from the games come to life in FPS detal in the WoW screenshots.

For WoW, I am thinking of playing either a Tauren Hunter or an Undead Rogue. The deciding factor will be if it is confirmed that Tauren get guns. If they do not, then I will continue with my long tradition of playing Rogues and probably being gimped (but hopefully they will be balanced in this RPG!).

Speaking of RPGs, the Email Campaign is coming along slow, but steady. Ian is all but finished; I just need to finish with some numbers and a bit of the surrounding terrain and then can start to organise the board for it. Caitlin and Shane just need to roll stats for their Regents and select some abilities and then I can start on their regions as well.
I won't have much time to work on it this week (overtime until the 24th, then in Kincardine, then more overtime), but after newyears (and assuming they don't let me take more overtime so I can afford my new PC) I'm going to go insane on it. Goal for the first turn will be late January, so if anyone else is still interested, at least let me know so I can make sure to leave some nice big tracks of land for you. We can always add in new empires after we start.

I think I was going to post something about how awesome Return of the King was...or maybe a rant on American Customers? I don't remember. Stupid Blogger took about 45 minutes to load so I got distracted.

In relation to my previous post:
"Killographic"

The National Institute on Media and the Family also released its list of the top ten games for parent to watch out for. Here they are (all of these games are rated "M" for "Mature" by the ESRB):

1. Manhunt
2. Road Kill
3. Outlaw Volleyball
4. Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball
5. Def Jam VENDETTA
6. True Crime: Streets of L.A.
7. Backyard Wrestling: Don't try this at home
8. Max Payne 2
9. WarCraft III: The Frozen Throne Expansion
10. Postal 2

What the HELL?

Oh and Black Isle disolved today. Goodbye the possibility of having any good RPGs in the next year or two!

Movie Night:
"Matrix: Revolutions"
Synopsis:
33% crap, bad character developent, useless characters, pointless scenes, Timothy Findley-esq quality of overdoing metaphor and symbolism (ie trying way too fucking hard)
33% awesome action, good CG, delicious deaths, interesting characters
33% credits (although the music rox)
The ending was as expected because it allows them to pimp out the franchise like a smack-crazed hoochymama

"Deep Impact"
Synopsis:
Normally I give all movies a fair chance. But. After watching not even five minutes, even right after a scifi swiss-cheese plot move like Revolutions, I had to leave the room. It was THAT unbelievable.
Viewers Note: I was slightly biased towards the movie in the first place. I have always thought of it as "that Armageddon ripoff".

I am glad that I did not pay for either movie. Although I might pay for the soundtrack from Revolutions. Please don't hate me for liking some mainstream music.

RE: Ian
All I can say is that I would not vote for a person who looks like they drew on their eyebrows with a crayon.

Is it just me, or does Miss Canada look like she could break those other contestants in half and still look hawt while covered in the ensuing gore?

I'm glad I went to bed an hour early last night to catch up on my sleep.

Especially since the postal service called at 7:30 trying to deliver a package some some fucktard that doesn't live here anymore and didn't change his address.

And then some nimble fingered dipshit called the wrong number at 8:30, so any sleep I could have potentially redeemed between 7:30 and my usual wake up time at 9:30 was RUINED.

Ofcourse, this happens the week where I only have one day off before starting my new shift hours where I need to wake up 3 hours earlier. That one day off is Sunday, which means today is only my Thursday. The BEGINNING of my Thursday.

Mood: BITE BITE SLASH CLAW

I'm working on an html/help file for the campaign. It should be done in the next couple days.
